I Got Inked! Finally 😊

A few days back, I decided to push with the microblading of my eyebrows. No, it wasn’t the tattoo you’re probably imagining. My father would cast me away, even at my very, very ripe age, lol. And I can’t afford to be without a home.

My eyebrows were bushy, but some areas weren’t. I want not to have to worry about it every time we leave the house. I don’t know how Facebook could have read my mind. My feed was suddenly filled with ads about microblading. Last week, it was cars, and the week before were laptops. I swear, Facebook is stalking me. Just kidding, I know it’s the algorithm. So don’t even whisper to yourself now, “Ang tanga tanga naman nito.”

I had 6D microblading. It’s also known as “feather-touch microblading” or “hair-stroke microblading,” it’s an advanced semi-permanent makeup technique that creates natural-looking eyebrows by adding individual hair-like strokes with precision and finesse. Using a fine, hand-held tool with tiny needles, a skilled technician customizes the color and pattern of the strokes to suit the client’s facial structure and preferences, resulting in a three-dimensional appearance with depth and definition. The procedure is semi-permanent, lasting 1 to 3 years, and offers the benefit of minimal downtime, allowing clients to achieve perfectly shaped and symmetrical brows with reduced daily makeup routines.

I had it done at Glow and Brow SM Fairview. They had a promo where you only need to pay P2,000 for two sessions. It comes with a free after-care ointment. The procedure took only about 20 minutes. But the time to wait for the anesthesia to take effect took a bit more than an hour. It was perfectly fine because, I swear, I didn’t feel anything. If you’re in a hurry, better psyche yourself up because it will be a long wait.Ā Ā

I was slightly apprehensive because my sister said it would be painful. The ate started with the left side, which doesn’t have much sensation. So, I thought that could be why I didn’t feel anything. I thought she was just measuring my brows and penciling the shape. After a few moment, she asked me to check it, and I was surprised I even said, “Yun na yun? The right side had a bit of feeling, but it still wasn’t painful enough to put me on the edge.

So, yeah, I finally got inked. And I would gladly do it again. Apologies for the photo, but here’s my before and after

Glow and Brow may not be the bestest in terms of facilities and ambiance. But if you’re looking for affordable 6Dmicroblading and microshading, I guess they fit the bill. Btw, they forgot to give me my aftercare ointment and me next-appointment card. But one message on their Facebook messenger sand they delivered it to our house via lalamove. Great service!

You can also try their microshading for the same price. I think they also have the combination of the two procedures.
