The year 2019 was transformative for me. I often feel sad, and the depression can be overwhelming. From the challenges of parenthood to worrying about finances and the chronic pain that pops in constantly took its toll on my body. Add to that the severe symptoms I suffered from endometriosis. But I decided to take action and control everything, starting with how I view my life and what I can manage.
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I decided to move forward with the surgery to remove my uterus, causing me so much pain and leaving me lethargic and anemic. That is a story for another time. But just to let you know, it was one of the best decisions of my life.
While watching live selling on Shopee, I came across a store that sells crystals. The seller, Sir Yang Sy-Go, meticulously explains each detail of the crystal, what it’s for, what it can do, how to use it, etc.

The store goes live, I think at least twice a week. They sell mostly blessed crystals following their 80-year-old long-time teaching of Feng Shui. They have a store in Binondo, Manila. But who would brave the traffic and hassle, right?
That day, I was feeling downhearted after facing a rough parenting patch. I know I need to practice mindfulness and be calmer, and he mentioned the exact crystal I needed, which was amethyst. I tried my hardest to get one, even if it was a tough live-selling night.

Amethyst, cherished for its popularity in metaphysical practices, is admired for both its stunning appearance and its associations with tranquility, peace, and spiritual clarity. Many believe that amethyst can calm the mind, reduce stress, and enhance intuition, making it an excellent aid for meditation and introspection. Since I had it, I got less frustrated, slept better, and was calmer.
Another crystal I got was rose quartz. Not all relationships are rainbows and butterflies. We would often have misunderstandings that caused me stress and anxiety.
Rose quartz, with its delicate pink essence, is a gentle and tender gemstone that holds a special place in the world of crystals. Known as the “Stone of Love,” it has been revered throughout history for its association with matters of the heart.

As a healing crystal, rose quartz is believed to carry the powerful energy of love and compassion. It resonates with the heart chakra, encouraging emotional healing, self-love, and a more profound empathy toward others. When held or worn, rose quartz promotes comfort and serenity, easing emotional wounds and dissolving negativity. Since I got it, our relationship, though not perfect, was smoother and happier.
My challenges with money were exacerbated when I saw my savings slowly thinning because of so many expenses, mostly Shopee and mall outings. I can’t for the life of me ask money from my husband as he’s the one taking charge of tuition, HMO, and other stuff.
I’ve been self-reliant most of my life, and I know I can do something to change this, and I only needed an opportunity. The next crystal I got from One-Click sale is an all-around bracelet with piyao, a money bag, a lucky cat, a lucky elephant, and the works. When I acquired it, with the help of my cousin-in-law, Nicky, I landed my first job as a virtual assistant. I also took on two more jobs as a real-estate cold caller and a content writer. It was rough at first, but I was able to ride it out.

The last, but definitely not the least crystal I got from the shop is this citrine bracelet with evil eye.

Citrine, with its captivating golden hue, is a radiant gemstone that exudes warmth and positive energy. Known as the “Merchant’s Stone” for its historical association with prosperity and abundance, it has been treasured by civilizations throughout the ages for its uplifting properties.
Citrine is believed to dispel negativity and invite positivity into one’s life. Its bright energy can help alleviate feelings of depression, anxiety, and self-doubt, promoting a sense of renewed vitality and self-confidence. Citrine’s radiant vibrations are said to awaken creativity and encourage a positive outlook, making it a cherished companion for artists, writers, and anyone seeking to manifest their dreams.
When combined with the Evil Eye , citrine becomes a powerful talisman for shielding against negative energies and promoting positivity. The Evil Eye is often depicted as a vibrant blue or turquoise eye with a dark center, reflecting back any harmful intentions or negative influences directed at the wearer.
I believe in the power of crystals and manifestation. I know a lot of you may disagree but to each his own.
Crystals helped transform my life, coupled with my own strength and conviction. I will not convince you to get it because it’s a journey of self-discovery.
