The Search Is Over

Summer bid goodbye a few days ago, but there are moments when the heat can still be intolerable. On such days, you long for something to cool you down.

People have been bragging online about the best halo-halo they’ve tried. One even boasts of having edible gold. I, too, have tried many, but by far, the best I’ve tasted is the one from Dory’s. I think the name is Ben’s. They have several flavors to choose from- the special, the salty-sweet, with itlog na maalat on top, and the spicy one with siling labuyo, which unfortunately was out of stock when we dined in.

What I loved about their halo-halo is the very fine ice, similar to Razon’s. The ice is actually frozen milk shaved to perfection. There are sweetened bananas, ube, and leche flan, which make the halo-halo balanced and complete.

Interesting balance of flavors. With the salted egg complimenting the sweetness of the ube, leche flan and bananas

O di ba simot? lol

Halo halo will always be fun to eat with pancit!

Though it may not brag of a dozen ingredients, the few selected ingredients are enough to satisfy your longing for this summer delicacy.

The price is around P135-P155. It’s not too late to try it out. In the Philippines, summer will never be over. Halo-halo will be a forever staple.

Dory’s Wong Cuisine Restaurant is located at Jordan Plains 4, 007 Commonwealth Ave, Quezon City, Luzon 1118 Philippines
